Public Relations Intern
Senior PR Consultant
Have questions? We have answers
What type of talent does Elliot & Co look for?
Resourceful people who genuinely want to be in communications. Most of our roles ask for a background in comms, marketing, journalism, or business, but we've hired from outside PR too. Our editorial team is open to career shifters who don't have a writing portfolio yet. Willingness to learn and attention to detail go a long way here. If you're someone who gets things done without needing to be told, you'll fit in.
What standards are expected from team members?
Everything that leaves our hands needs to be accurate, whether it's a press release, a client report, or a social post. We take quality control seriously and expect the same from everyone. Beyond the work itself, we expect you to keep clients updated, share progress proactively, and own your accounts. Attention to detail is non-negotiable, and neither is being open to constructive feedback.
How does Elliot & Co support professional growth?
You work on real client campaigns from day one. Interns and junior team members get direct exposure to media relations, campaign strategy, event management, and digital content. Our consultants mentor hands-on. We operate across Singapore and Malaysia, so there's real opportunity to work on cross-border campaigns. We also use AI-driven PR and media monitoring tools alongside our own platform, Alpha Story, so what you learn here stays current.
What makes working at Elliot & Co different from other agencies?
We were built to back startups, champion SMEs, and give underdogs their shot. That's still what drives us. We're also the team behind Alpha Story, Asia's first PR digital platform, because innovation has always been core to how we operate. The team works across Singapore and Malaysia, and cross-border collaboration is the norm. You won't sit in a corner processing paperwork. You'll pitch ideas, work with clients directly, and contribute to campaigns for brands like YouTrip, ShopBack, and Zus Coffee. If conventional agency life is what you're after, we're probably not it. If you want to be pushed, welcome home.
How do I know if I am a good fit for the team?
Ask yourself whether you take initiative without waiting for permission, whether you can manage multiple things at once without letting the details slide, and whether you're comfortable receiving feedback and adjusting quickly. If working with startups and SMEs excites you, that's a strong signal. For intern and junior roles, we care more about attitude and willingness to learn than formal qualifications. Senior roles do call for relevant experience, but across all levels we're looking for people who are proactive, collaborative, and want to grow.
