What A Day Looks Like @ Elliot & Co
- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited
to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes - Perform monthly bank reconciliations, review and finalise accounts to ensure
accuracy - Monthly, quarterly and annually financial reporting
- Preparing/ Reviewing and analyze full-set of accounts/unaudited financial
statements to ensure accuracy and completeness in accordance with SFRS/IFRS - Process/review payroll/ staff reimbursements
- Review quarterly government sales tax (SST/GST) filing preparation and filing
- Provide financial advice and information on local tax-related regulations and
incentives - Ensure transactions are recorded under the correct tax categories in the system
- Prepare annual tax computation and filings including ECI
- Attending to accounting queries and requests in a timely and professional manner
- Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for
improvements - Streamlining accounting and financial reporting process to promote high efficiency
and accuracy in book-keeping activities - Maintains accounting controls by establishing a chart of accounts and defining
accounting policies and procedures - Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training,
and maintaining strong employee relationships - Basic corporate secretarial duties including lodgements to ACRA and preparation
of resolutions - Perform ad hoc duties as requested
You Will Likely Succeed In This Job If:
- Excellent communication skills; being proficient in English, both written and
spoken - Strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills required
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant working experience in full set/ GL/ Accounting to
Reporting in various industries - Able to understand Singapore Accounting and Taxation Practices and Standards
including GST - Professional Accounting Qualifications or Degree in Accounting/any related fields
- Familiar with Xero Accounting System
