Assistant Accounting Manager

What A Day Looks Like @ Elliot & Co

  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited
    to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations, review and finalise accounts to ensure
    accuracy
  • Monthly, quarterly and annually financial reporting
  • Preparing/ Reviewing and analyze full-set of accounts/unaudited financial
    statements to ensure accuracy and completeness in accordance with SFRS/IFRS
  • Process/review payroll/ staff reimbursements
  • Review quarterly government sales tax (SST/GST) filing preparation and filing
  • Provide financial advice and information on local tax-related regulations and
    incentives
  • Ensure transactions are recorded under the correct tax categories in the system
  • Prepare annual tax computation and filings including ECI
  • Attending to accounting queries and requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for
    improvements
  • Streamlining accounting and financial reporting process to promote high efficiency
    and accuracy in book-keeping activities
  • Maintains accounting controls by establishing a chart of accounts and defining
    accounting policies and procedures
  • Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training,
    and maintaining strong employee relationships
  • Basic corporate secretarial duties including lodgements to ACRA and preparation
    of resolutions
  • Perform ad hoc duties as requested

You Will Likely Succeed In This Job If:

  • Excellent communication skills; being proficient in English, both written and
    spoken
  • Strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills required
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant working experience in full set/ GL/ Accounting to
    Reporting in various industries
  • Able to understand Singapore Accounting and Taxation Practices and Standards
    including GST
  • Professional Accounting Qualifications or Degree in Accounting/any related fields
  • Familiar with Xero Accounting System

  • Some experience/knowledge in Corporate Secretarial work
